*The walking track to Cathedral Cove is open again! We highly recommend to take the water taxi to Cathedral Cove and walk back from there. The oneway trip is $40 per adult ($30 children aged 3-17) and departs from Hahei Beach, and must be paid directly to the boat operator. Note that the boat may not operate every day due to sea / weather conditions. In such a case we will recommend other beautiful walks in Hahei to you, such as to the end of the beach and up the hill of Te Pare Historic Reserve to an old Maori Pa Site, offering fantastic views over the rocky coast and the Pacific Ocean.
