How about cruising by boat from Auckland to the Coromandel?
Fuller's 360 Auckland - Coromandel Ferry arrives and departs 10km south of Coromandel Town at Hannaford's Wharf in Te Kouma, and is probably the most pleasant way to travel to Coromandel.

While ferry operator Fuller's offers a free shuttle between the wharf and Coromandel Town Centre (with limited seats!), there is currently no regular bus or shuttle between the ferry or Coromandel Town and Whitianga.

We have got this covered for you!

We can meet you at the ferry and take you directly to Whitianga, so you don't lose any time. And of course, we can also take you from Whitianga directly to the ferry for the departure to Waiheke and Auckland.

Regarding luggage, keep in mind we are using a standard SUV passenger car. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions regarding baggage allowances. We do not carry excess luggage that does not fit into the boot of the car, such as surfboards or bicycles.

Arriving guests need to be able to contact our driver, either by phone, email or messenger.

* We are located in Whitianga, so the stated fares are valid for transfer between Hannaford's Wharf (Te Kouma) and any address in Whitianga Town (Zone A = $110, Zone B = $120, Zone C = $130), as well as any address / location directly en route ($110), as shown on the map, including Wharekaho (Simpsons Beach), Kuaotunu and Te Rerenga. Addresses in other locations, such as Whangapoua or Matarangi, are subject to a small surcharge, see below.
* For locations off route a surcharge applies (the exact amount depends on the exact address / location). Here are some common examples:
Matarangi: $5 to $15
Whangapoua: $10 to $15
Rings Beach $5
Otama Beach: $5 to $15
Opito Bay: $20 to $30
Matapaua Bay: $40
